CONSORZIO COOP.RIUNITE D'ABRUZZO - CITRA VINI

Citra Vini is a consortium founded in 1973, which brings together nine wineries in the province of Chieti. It is the largest winery in Abruzzo, which combines technology, control and expertise of a large company with the quality and peculiarities of the traditional work of 3,000 winemakers. The true strength of this company are precisely these families of winemakers, guardians of small vineyards, of just over one hectare each, which are handed down from generation to generation the art of wine in Abruzzo. The property with its 6000 hectares covers almost all the territory of the province of Chieti. A mosaic of small vineyards stretching for 80-90 km from north to south on the coast, and 40 km from west to east from the Majella mountain to the Adriatic Sea. This is the main added value of the company, because it offers the possibility to exploit terroir and microclimates different from each other, with unique characteristics that give grapes with different chemical and aromatic characteristics in the various production areas.
