Carus farm https://www.carusvini.it/en/ consists in 26 hectares of which 13,5 dedicated to wine production and 4,5 to olive oil. It is situated in the heart of Chianti Classico in San Casciano in val di Pesa , one of the best locations to produce this excellent wine. The vineyards are on calcareous clay hillsides, at elevation of 300m above sea level. The primary varietal are the 8,5 Sangiovese hectares that have been qualified to produce Chianti Classico, the rest is Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Carus produces only organic wines respecting the tradition and enviroment .
