History states that in the mid-18th century, King João V gave this Quinta to a courtesan with whom he fell madly in love, Dona Maria. Her name has graced the labels of the wines that have been produced there for over 150 years. Respecting the legacy of his ancestors and adding his own modern vision, Júlio Bastos has become one of the best ambassadors for Portuguese wines, producing classic elegant wines in his own unique way.
