Old House Vineyards

Sheltered by hills to the East, South and West, our family-owned vineyards enjoy high sunshine hours and a moderating coastal climate on unirrigated clay gravel soils of Upper Moutere in Nelson, New Zealand. The family purchased the 20Ha. Upper Moutere vineyard, in 2014. Initially planted in 2000, they spent the next few years improving the vines, before making their first wines in 2017. Grapes are harvested and sorted, by hand, before being fermented and matured in French oak barrels. The aim is to be the best producer in the region, aiming at quality rather than quantity.
