Chateau Chizay was founded in 1995. It has a deep connection to the local ancient winemaking tradition, being built at the place of an ancient l winery from the 17th century in the middle of the winemaking valley named Chizay. The historical region of Transcarpathia is located in the Western Ukraine. Here the mild sunlight is wonderfully combined with optimal rainfall amount, and the Carpathian Mountain landscape covers 272 hectares of vineyards from northern winds. Soil, full of minerals and micronutrient elements adds a unique taste to the grapes, and the wine gains an extraordinary nature.
