Domaine Louis Bovard

In 1983, Louis-Philippe Bovard - the 10th generation of the Bovard family - took over this 13-hectare estate with the aim of bringing its wines to international acclaim. His avant-garde approach includes the introduction of new grape varieties to Lavaux (Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc and Syrah), the study of Lavaux terroirs and climates, the maturing of Chasselas on lees and in barrels, the creation of the Chasselas World Conservatory (to research old, high-quality varieties of this grape variety). The domaine has been awarded the highest distinctions. It is one of the icons of Swiss wine.
