About Us Basket Press Wines is a London-based wine import and distribution company. Our focus is to source real, living wines from Central and Eastern Europe. We are an independent, family-owned company, with an aim to work and support smaller, unsung growers. Jiří is originally from the Czech Republic and has been part of the UK drinks industry for more than a decade. Zainab's background in food and drinks spans over 15 years -- formerly worked in sales with a wine merchant, as a sommelier and prior to that editor of a food and drinks magazine.
