Octtava Piano 2021 Chardonnay 2021

Handpicked over several weeks from different blocks within the Merricks vineyard on Boon Wurrung country, to ensure a balanced and full expression of the site. Each batch was separately whole bunch pressed, fermented in old French oak, matured for 10 months, and then harmoniously blended for complexity and resonance. Lifted summer florals and vibrant citrus hover delicately over a symphony of orchard fruit, vanilla wafer and toasted hazelnut. Pink grapefruit and fennel high notes contrast with a low bass savoury lusciousness that sweeps powerfully towards a suspenseful and lingering finish.
